Northrom Grumman to cut 200 jobs by February

More than 200 people will be laid off on Fort Hood after Northrom Grumman decided not to renew its contract with the army base.

The layoffs are expected to occur by the end of February.

The weapons and aircraft manufacturer has come under fire recently for its involvement in the costly production of the F-35 joint strike fighter.

This, as budget cuts in Washington have forced the military to downsize across the board.
