Disability job firm Pluss plans for layoffs

A company that offers employment and training opportunities to people with disabilities has said it is consulting over 25 redundancies.

Pluss, owned by Devon, Plymouth, Torbay and Somerset councils, said it was consulting over eight jobs in Exeter and 17 in Torbay.

It said it wanted to redirect some of its funding to "support disabled people into work".

The organisation said it would help any people affected with finding jobs.

The company said it helped to get about 3,500 people get into work last year.
